This code list is used in association with the Description attribute which is present within the Building Feature Type. The code list describes the types of building features represented in the data.

Abbey	The main building that is part of a collection (or former collection) of conventional buildings, usually including a specific building as a place of worship, used by religious community of (particularly Christian) monks or nuns, under the leadership of an abbot or abbess.
Agriculture Building	A building on a site where commercial support activities for agriculture take place.
Air Passenger Terminal	The main building on a site within an airport from which passengers embark and disembark from commercial aircraft flights.
Air Quality Monitoring Station	The main building on a site for measuring information about the atmosphere, in particular, air quality and pollution levels.
Airport With Scheduled Services	The main building on a site where aircraft land and take off and which provide facilities for handling passengers and air freight, and for servicing aircraft, all in accordance to a strict timetable.
Airport Without Scheduled Services	The main building on a site where aircraft land and take off and which provide facilities for handling passengers and air freight, and for servicing aircraft, not in accordance to a strict timetable.

Attraction Building	A building on a site that provides non-sporting leisure activities for the public.
Biogas Power Station	The main building on a site where gas (natural gas, propane, methane, etc.) is generated from biomass (for example, sewage or slurry) and then used to generate electricity.
Bowls Clubhouse	The main building on a site where the sport of bowls takes place.
Buddhist Temple	The main building on a site used as a Buddhist place of worship.
Building Under Construction	An under construction building that is not yet completed to roof level. Such features are not included in the current version of the data.
Cable Terminal Station	The main building on a site where submarine cables carrying either telecommunication signals or electricity for power are terminated and connected to the land portion of the network.
Cathedral	The main building on a site that is the principal church of a diocese.
Central Government Services	The main building on a publicly accessible site that supplies services on behalf of central government. For example, passport offices, job centres.
Chapel	The main building on a site that is used as a small religious meeting place normally used by non-conformist religions, or a place of worship attached to a school, hospital, prison and so on, or a separate area within a church or cathedral which has its own altar.

Community Services	The main building on a site that provides information, help, advice, or other services to the inhabitants of an area.
Construction Building	A building that is within a construction site.
Crematorium	The main building on a site where the bodies of the deceased are reduced to ashes by burning.
Cricket Ground (Participation)	The main building on a site primarily for participating in and playing cricket, where there are no stands or tiered spectator seating.
Cricket Ground (Spectating)	The main building on a site primarily for watching cricket.
Cricket Stadium	The main building on a site including a large, usually open structure with tiered spectator seating used predominantly for cricket matches.
Curling Rink	The main building on a site including an ice rink where the game of curling is played.
Cycling Sports Facility	The main building on a site used by bicycles for either racing or recreational purposes.
Defence Building	A building on a site associated with the activities of the armed forces. Includes sites where military personnel are paraded and inspected.
Detached House	A residential building which is not connected to another building.
Detention Centre	The main building on a site where refugees or potential illegal immigrants are confined prior to their case being processed.
Domestic Outbuilding	A building that is not the main building on a residential site, for example a garage or shed.
Education Building	A building with an educational function not covered by more detailed description values such as School, College or University.
Electricity Distribution Facility	The main building on a site used to handle electricity as part of the process of distributing electricity nationally or regionally.
Electricity Storage Facility	The main building on a site dedicated to the storage of electricity, normally in large batteries.
Electricity Sub Station	The main building on a site that contains equipment used to reduce the voltage of electricity from that used in distribution to that used for the final user supply.
Emergency Assistance Or Equipment Facility	The main building on a site used by the providers of emergency services not included within ambulance, fire, or police, or a site used by the main emergency services to store equipment, where no vehicles or staff are housed
