This code list is used in association with the Flow Direction attribute which is present within the Water Link Feature Type. The code list describes the direction of water flow in the segment relative to digitisation of segment geometry.

Label	Definition
In Direction	The watercourse has a definite flow. This is applied to all features with directed flow. This flow is always assumed in direction of digitising.
Unknown	The flow direction has not been determined for one of the following reasons: The flow direction has not been collected or cannot be ascertained by the capture method selected. The watercourse should normally have a flow but the direction cannot be measured. The watercourse may have a flow but OS is not currently recording the direction.
